Gujranwala the pacemaker of the country is situated on Grand Trunk Road at a distance of 65 Kilo meters from Lahore towards Islamabad. Nandipur mud is famous for its use in preparing cricket pitches even in countries like New Zealand and Australia. Canal irrigation system is well traversed and major agricultural crops are wheat and rice of very high quality that is appreciated and renowned the world once.
People of the city are religions diligent, patent and actively took part in the Pakistan Movement. In this regards the towering personality of Mualana Zafar Ali Khan as a poet and Journalist is glittering and glorious in the history of Pakistan Movement.
